Introjects may not literally be their source, but that doesn’t mean they are morally obligated to abandon connections to their source altogether! Introjects can and often do have a wide range of opinions on or relationships to their sources! It’s okay for introjects to love their source or feel strongly connected to it. You’re still just as valid and cherished as an introject, a member of your system, and a member of the plural community just the way you are!

Shoutout to factives and faitives!

It’s okay and actually more common you might think to introject a real person. You are still a real and valid member of your system!

Shoutout to those who:

- introjected abusers or problematic people! Dealing with the realization of your source can be scary but you are so much more than your source! You are capable of growth and positive change, and we’ll be here to cheer you on!

- are fakeclaimed for being a factive or faitive or struggle to have their identity taken seriously. Just because someone claims you’re faking does not mean you actually are! There are plenty of folks out there who will believe your experiences, and we’re among them!

- feel like you can’t be honest about your identity with yourself, your system, or those outside your system. Coming to terms with being a factive or a faitive might be challenging, but it’s necessary in order for you to grow as a person and strive for self acceptance!

- feel like they are their source, hyperfixate on their source, or love talking/gushing about their source. These are all perfectly valid introject experiences! While your source may exist out there as a real person, that does not take away from your identity by any means.

- differ vastly from their source, feel disconnected from their source, or want nothing to do with their source. It’s also okay to not want anything to do with your source! If your source is a person who you know and interact with regularly, perhaps try explaining the situation to them, and see if it would be possible to get some space.

This blog has always been, and will always be, a safe space for factives and faitives! We love y’all and hope y’all have an excellent day. Remember we’re rooting for you and we love and accept you for who you are, whether or not you identify heavily with your source! You never have to be afraid to express your authentic self here, and you belong in the plural community!
